FAQ’s – Nice, France Family Guide
Welcome to Kid Travel Guides by The Talking Suitcase FAQ page! We’ve put together a list of answers to your frequently asked questions.
General Guide Information
1. Why should I buy the Nice, France Family Guide?
The guide was originally designed so parents, caregivers and their children can explore Nice at their own pace. It’s set up so kids lead their parents on a tour of the city. The guide is for anyone who wants to discover the best of Nice, learn history and little known facts without the expense or time of a formal guided tour.
2. What is included with my purchase?
Each purchase includes either a downloadable PDF version of the guide or a pre-printed guide sent via mail. Additionally, a PDF of the Parents Sheet + Puzzle and the Map are emailed after all purchases. While the Parents Sheet + Puzzle and the Map are included within the guide, we offer these as a separate PDF version as well.
3. What’s the ideal age for the guide?
The ideal age for using the guide is 6 – 13 years. However, all ages will learn history and fun facts. Young children will just need a little more help following the map and answering some of the questions.
4. I have multiple children, do I need more than one guide?
No. Families can all share one guide. We offer a separate, printable Parents Sheet + Puzzle so you can print multiple puzzles for all your kids to complete.
Please select the ‘fit to page’ option when printing.
5. I don’t have children, can I still complete the guide?
Absolutely! The guide was designed for families, but you don’t need children to participate. Solo travelers, couples and groups can all use the Nice, France Family Guide to explore the city. We even suggest completing the puzzle. Alternatively, simply check your answers on the Parents Sheet before moving on with the tour.
6. What are the guide formats?
We offer both a downloadable PDF and pre-printed guide.
7. Why is the pre-printed guide more expensive?
There is some expense associated with having the guides professionally printed and delivered. We strive to keep the cost and shipping to a minimum. The guides are in full color and are beautifully designed.
8. Is the guide stroller and wheelchair friendly?
No. We have designed the guide to take the most scenic and efficient route and consequently, some stairs will be encountered.
It is possible to avoid the stairs by taking the elevator back down the château then continuing through Old Town to the labeled route. The next set of stairs is on Ruelle Saint François. Skip these steps by walking through Old Town to pick up the marked route at Rue Sincaire.
9. What is the fitness level of the guide?
A moderate fitness level is required, as some stairs and hills are involved in the route. The guide was designed, however, with young children in mind. We reduced uphill stairs and climbs when possible.
10. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards.
Shipping & Printing Information
11. How long will it take to receive my mailed guide?
Please allow 2 weeks for shipping. If you will be departing in less than 2 weeks, we suggest purchasing the downloadable version.
12. Where do you ship?
We currently ship around the world.
13. I want to buy the downloadable guide. How do we complete the puzzle?
A separate printer friendly PDF link will be emailed with the Parents Sheet and Puzzle. Print the puzzle prior to your departure. Please select the ‘fit to page’ option when printing.
14. How to I access the downloadable guide while traveling?
Please refer to the instructions for your specific device for downloading PDF’s. We highly suggest fully downloading the guide and saving it to your device(s) before you depart. We can not guarantee operation of the guide over wifi and cellular data during your trip.
We further suggest turning off wifi and cellular data to test access to the PDF before departing.
15. Can I print the digital guide at home?
We don’t recommend printing the guide from home. If you don’t have time to have the guide mailed but want a paper copy, we suggest having the PDF version printed as a brochure from a printing company near you. If you decide to print from home, select the ‘fit to page’ option.
Please note that the quality of a home printed guide won’t be as good as the guide we mail you. Also, formatting may be off if you’re printing in the United States.
The guides are printed in Europe. The dimensions of the files are 14.8 x 21 cm (A5) not the standard U.S. paper size of 8.5 x 11 in.
16. What is your refund policy?
We understand that purchasing a guide unseen is a big decision. Please take the time to review our photos and read the guide description before purchase. We offer a 30 day refund if you’re not satisfied with the purchase.
